Iranian film ‘Yellow’ directed by Mostafa Taghizadeh has become the highest grossing movie at the Iranian box office from last Saturday through Thursday.
According to a media report published Thursday, the Iranian film took the crown from ‘Negar’, which previously dominated the domestic box office over the last three weeks.
‘Yellow’ features Iranian actors such as Bahram Radan, Sareh Bayat, Mehrdad Sedighian, Bahareh Kianafshar, Shahram Haghighatdoust, Alireza Ostadi, Hossein Mehri, Anahita Dargahi, Morteza Taghizadeh, Amir-Ali Nabavian and Ali Salehi.
The synopsis of ‘Yellow’ reads, “We are strange people... Our present is very different to our future.”
This is a drama about people’s relations, goals and their achievements. The film poses a question: what each of us would do and choose if we were in the Iranian scientists’ place?
‘Yellow’ screened across 73 movie theaters in Iran.
